3º Dia formed in São Paulo in 2005, led by vocalist Anderson Freire. Their debut album, "Descanso," came out in 2006 and included songs like "Gratidão" and "Ousado Amor." They played a mix of worship, pop, and rock that connected with listeners in Brazil and beyond.
Later albums included "3º Dia" in 2007, "Nas Mãos do Pai" in 2009, and "10 Anos" in 2015. The band faced some criticism in 2013 for performing at a secular festival, and Freire left in 2016 to go solo. After that, members like Téo Mendes, Leandro Soares, Guilherme de Sá, and André Torres kept the group going.
Songs such as "Chamando à Deus" and "Uma vida diferente" are among their well-known tracks. They released more music, including "A História Continua" in 2018, staying active in the Christian rock scene without much fanfare.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
