3rd Faze was a Christian music trio made up of Shaun Johnson, Robert Marvin, and George Shelby. They started making music together in the late 1990s, mixing R&B, hip-hop, and gospel.
Their sound drew some criticism from parts of the Christian music community for being unconventional. They kept making records anyway, putting out albums like 'The Way of the Cross' in 2004 and 'Rebirth' in 2010. Songs like 'Boy You Gotta Go' and 'Not Like Her' show the kind of R&B and hip-hop elements they worked with.
Beyond music, they set up the 3rd Faze Foundation to support underprivileged communities. The group's members handled vocals and bass, drums, and guitar respectively.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
