3rd Wish formed in Miami in the mid-1990s with Manny Rodriguez on vocals and guitar, Rick Sanchez on bass, and Tony Macias on drums. Their debut album 'The Wish List' came out in 1997 and included the track 'Ain't No Need,' which got some radio play around that time.
They put out a few more albums like 'Stronger' in 1999 and 'Next Level' in 2003. The group had a sound that mixed R&B with some funk elements, heard on songs like 'Ashamed' and 'Beautiful' from their catalog.
There was a brief pause in 1999 when Sanchez had a marijuana possession arrest, but the three main members kept working together through most of their active years. Their music still pops up occasionally on streaming services and old R&B playlists.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
