3real was a band formed in 2011, originally by Elijah Blake and Phillip Lawrence, with Joelle James joining soon after. They released their self-titled debut album in 2012, which included the song "3real." That track, along with others like "Flagra" and "Meus Espelhos," helped define their sound, which pulled from R&B, hip-hop, and soul.
Their lyrics often dealt with personal themes, and their straightforward approach in interviews sometimes stirred debate. The group put out two more albums, "II" in 2014 and "Curtain Call" in 2017, before disbanding that same year. Songs such as "Problemas Do Og" and "Ser Você" appear among their recorded work.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
