3SETE formed in 2015 as a trio of childhood friends: Pedro Lamounier, Luis Artur Nunes, and Maurício Gaetani. They started playing together locally, working through the usual early struggles of a new band trying to get noticed. Their first real break came with a festival performance that helped them build some momentum.
In 2017, they released their debut single "3 Sete Brilho," which caught on with listeners and gave them their first taste of wider recognition. The song's upbeat, playful feel became something of a calling card for the group. They followed it with albums like Na Asa do Vento in 2018 and Transborda in 2019, exploring a mix of Brazilian pop, funk, and electronic sounds.
Around the time of their 2019 album, they faced some public accusations about similarities in one of their songs, which they denied. They put out another album, Deixa o Ritmo Levar, in 2020.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
