3SL formed in Seattle in 1990, with Mark Lanegan on vocals, Gary Lee Conner on guitar, and Van Conner on bass. They put out their first album, 'Slaves of the Sun,' in 1992. The single 'Take It Easy' from that record got some play on alternative radio at the time.
They released a few more albums through the 1990s, including 'My So-Called Life' and 'Girl on Fire.' Another track people remember is 'Touch Me Tease Me.' The band stopped working together around 2003.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
