4 Asa formed in the late 1990s with members from Serbia, Croatia, Macedonia, and Slovenia. Their sound mixed rock, pop, and Balkan folk elements. In 2004, they released the single "Ja Nemam Prava," which became a regional hit.
The band released several albums, including their self-titled debut in 2000, "Synergia" in 2002, and "VI" in 2007. Their lineup included Aleksandar Petrović on vocals, Željko Joksimović on keyboards, Milan Stanković on guitar, Dragan Micić on bass, and Branko Isaković on drums.
Their lyrics sometimes addressed political themes, which occasionally drew criticism. They kept performing and recording through the 2000s and into the 2010s, with their 2011 album "999."
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
