4 Naipes Rock formed in Rio de Janeiro in 1984 with Cazuza on vocals, Leoni on guitar, Tavinho on bass, and Nando Reis on drums. They released their debut album the following year.
Cazuza's health struggles became part of the band's later years, with their 1989 album 'Me Chama' recorded during his illness. The band released a posthumous album in 1991 after Cazuza's passing and disbanded in 1992. Their music, including songs like 'Redenção,' continues to be heard in Brazil's rock circles.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
