4 Pétalas formed in 2003 as a Brazilian all-female band with Juliana Rabelo on vocals, Carol Marques on guitar, Milla Carneiro on bass, and Priscila Tossan on drums. Their debut album came out in 2006 and included the song 'A Espera,' a ballad about unrequited love that became their breakthrough hit.
They released several more albums over the following years, including 'O Que Você Sente por Mim' in 2009, 'A Vida É um Sopro' in 2012, 'Diamante Bruto' in 2015, and 'Flor de Sal' in 2018. Their sound shifted from acoustic folk to incorporate more pop, rock, and Brazilian rhythms. Another track, 'Quando Ouço o Sinal Bater,' also appears among their notable songs.
In 2010, a video surfaced showing band members in a physical altercation with a fan, which drew public criticism. The group apologized afterward. The members balanced band commitments with personal lives, including marriages, children, and solo projects.
