4 P.M. was a Japanese band that formed in 1967. They became known internationally for their version of the song "Sukiyaki," which was originally titled "Ue o Muite Arukou." The group included Kyuu Sakamoto on vocals and guitar, Masaru Matsunaga on bass, Hiroaki Morishima on organ, and Hideki Ishima on drums.
Their debut album "4 Hits" came out in 1967 and featured "Sukiyaki." They released other records like "Celebration" in 1968 and "Live in Europe" in 1970. Sakamoto, who fronted the band, died in 1985.
Some of their other songs include "For What More" and "Lay Down Your Love." The band's music drew from pop and jazz styles.
