4 Strings

4 Strings is a string quartet that formed in London in the late 1990s. The group consists of two violins, a viola, and a cello. Their debut album, 'Daytime', came out in 2002 and includes the track of the same name. They've also recorded songs like 'Take Me Away (Into The Night)' and 'Summer Sun'.

Their work sometimes blends classical pieces with other styles, which has drawn mixed reactions from listeners. The quartet has released several albums over time, including 'Encore' in 2004 and 'The Bridge' in 2006. A later album from 2010 reinterprets Vivaldi's 'Four Seasons'.

The musicians in the group have included violinists Peter Manning and Tim Payne, violist Helen Tunstall, and cellist Jonathan Aasgaard. They've worked with other artists like cellist Yo-Yo Ma and pianist Lang Lang. Their music has appeared in some films and television shows.
