403 formed in Toronto in 2004 with Justin Blythe on vocals, David Ghazarian on guitar, Peter MacLean on bass, and Noah Ehrich on drums. They played local bars and clubs for a few years before releasing their debut album in 2007. That album was called 'Blaze of Life,' which is also the name of one of their songs.
Their song 'Blaze of Life' got some attention, but there was also some legal trouble around it. The band kept making music anyway, putting out albums like 'The World Is Yours' in 2009, 'Strength and Honor' in 2012, and 'Moral Dilemma' in 2014. Other songs people know include 'Gate of UTK' and 'Northern Lights.'
Blythe, Ghazarian, and Ehrich have been the consistent members through various lineup changes. They've worked with other musicians too, though the specifics aren't too important here. They got a Juno Award in 2008 for Rock Album of the Year.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
