41 North formed in Wilmington, North Carolina in the mid-1990s with Dallas Sellers on vocals, Patrick Davis on guitar, and George Pendergrass on keyboards. They were later joined by drummer David Powley and bassist Mark Keen. Their debut album 'Dixie Bound' came out in 2000, followed by 'Eye on the Horizon' in 2002.
Their 2009 album 'Carolina' included the song of the same name, which became their most recognizable track. They also recorded 'Come Back Home' and 'This Is The Time.' The band released five studio albums between 2000 and 2009.
They were known for their connection to the Carolinas region, both in their music and through local charity work. Their lineup remained consistent throughout their active years.
