4:20 Hr. formed in 1999 in Rio de Janeiro with Bob on vocals and guitar, Felipe on bass, and Ricardo on drums. They started playing local venues, mixing reggae and rock. Their debut album came out in 2003, and the track "Fonte de Inspiração Bob" became a national hit.
In 2007, the band faced backlash for a song called "Erva Daninha" that advocated for marijuana legalization. They kept going, though, and later added samba and other Brazilian rhythms to their sound.
Over time, the lineup expanded to include Daniel on keyboards in 2010 and Thiago on percussion in 2014. They put out albums like "Raízes" in 2005, "Expressão" in 2008, "Alma Brasileira" in 2012, and "Caminho do Sol" in 2016.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
