424 formed in Bogotá, Colombia in 1997. Their name is pronounced "cuatro dos cuatro," and they built an early following playing in underground venues. In 1999, they released their debut album "Catorce."
Their 2002 album "Aire" included the song "Chica de Humo," which became widely known. The band's lineup has included Juan Pablo Villamil on vocals and guitar, Alejandro Gómez on bass, Andrés Felipe Robledo on drums, Javier Ojeda on keyboard, and Carlos Aponte on guitar.
They released several more albums, including "Cielo Abierto" in 2005, "El Equilibrio" in 2010, and "Fuego y Ceniza" in 2015. Another track, "En La Mañana," appears among their top songs.
