45 King was a hip-hop group that came together in 1992, formed by three friends from Brownsville, Brooklyn: Prince Poetry, Big Noyd, and MC Supreme. They put out their first EP, '45 King Is Here,' in 1993. The track 'Flavor Unit Assassination Squad' from that release got some attention and became a notable song for them.
They followed up with albums like 'Nocturnal' in 1995 and 'The Takeover' in 1998. Over time, MC Supreme and Big Noyd left the group, and 45 King kept going with different members. The original trio has gotten back together at points for tours and recording.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
