4hope formed in 2016 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, with Lucas dos Prazeres, Rodrigo Silva, and Guilherme Oliveira as founding members. Guitarist Felipe Vianna joined to complete the lineup. They gained attention with their pop and gospel sound, and their 2018 song 'Chuva' became a breakthrough track.
In 2019, the band faced criticism after a video showed them making insensitive comments about the LGBTQ+ community. They apologized publicly and began speaking more about inclusivity. Their albums include 'Chuva' (2018), 'Esperança' (2020), and 'Resiliência' (2022).
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
