4Notes formed in 2010 as a quartet with Mariana Mello on vocals, André Prando on guitar, Samuel Rosa on bass, and Danilo Avelar on drums. Their debut single "Com Você" became an early hit, and they released their self-titled debut album in 2012. The band followed with two more albums, "Nossa História" in 2014 and "Livre" in 2017.
In 2015, drummer Danilo Avelar left the group and was replaced by Rafael Costa. The band faced plagiarism accusations in 2017 over a song called "Um Novo Amanhã," though the claims were eventually dismissed. Their catalog includes songs like "Somente Lembrar," "Marcas de você," and "Primeiro de Setembro."
