4rustle formed in the mid-2000s as a duo of childhood friends André Whoong and Fabrício Fiori. Their debut album came out in 2010, titled 'Dia Estranho' after its haunting title track. That song became something of an anthem for them in Brazil.

They put out a couple more albums in the 2010s, 'Paraíso Perdido' in 2013 and 'Aurora' in 2017, which moved into darker, more experimental territory. André Whoong left the band in 2019, citing health issues. After a two-year break, they reunited and released a fourth album called 'Renascimento' in 2021.
