4tu is a Brazilian quartet that formed in Rio de Janeiro around 2009. Their self-titled debut album came out that same year, introducing a sound that mixed acoustic folk with pop and Brazilian rhythms. The group includes Thiago Arancam on lead vocals, Bruno Boncini on guitar, Kiko Pinheiro on bass, and Adriano Trindade on drums.
They've released several other albums since, including "Viva" in 2014, a live album in 2017, and "O Tempo É Agora" in 2020.
In 2017, the band had to cancel a performance due to political pressure, which brought some attention to the challenges artists can face when addressing social issues. They've continued recording and performing while occasionally speaking out on topics like social justice and environmental awareness.
