5 Alarm formed in 2016 with Hiroki Tsuda on vocals and guitar, Hiroki Matsuo on drums, and Kenta Nakai on bass. They put out their debut single 'The Beginning' the following year. The song 'Frozen' came out in 2019 and was used as the ending theme for the reality show 'Terrace House - Opening New Doors.'
That track, along with another called 'Slow Down,' represents the band's sound, which pulls from rock and pop with some electronic touches. Their first full-length album, 'In Our Wake,' arrived in 2021.
