5 Eixos formed in Porto Alegre, Brazil in 1998, originally with Felipe Balseiro on vocals, Rafael Campoy on guitar, Rodrigo Tavares on bass, and Juliano Scavuzzi on drums. Their debut album 'Histórias ao Vento' came out in 2002, and its title track became a recognizable song for them.
After Scavuzzi left in 2006, André Meirelles joined as drummer. They've released several albums since, including 'Entre o Céu e o Chão' in 2004, 'A Vida é um Milagre' in 2008, 'Palavras' in 2012, 'Sobrevivendo ao Amanhã' in 2016, and 'Tudo o que Eu Queria' in 2020.
Their lyrics sometimes touch on social and political themes, which has occasionally drawn criticism. The song 'Erros e Acertos' was one example mentioned in this context.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
