5 Ponto Zero formed in São Paulo in 1996, a Brazilian pop rock band that found early attention with their 1997 debut album 'Happy Hour.' The group was led by vocalist Samuel Rosa, and their music often worked with straightforward melodies and personal lyrics. One of their better-known songs is 'Pra Te Ter.'
In 2006, Rosa was arrested for drug possession, which created some negative publicity around the band. They released their self-titled album that same year, followed by 'Alegria,' which managed to find both critical and commercial success despite the circumstances. The lineup has included Fernando Magas on guitar, Felipe Cambraia on drums, Bruno Migotto on keyboards, and Rodrigo Santos on bass.
Their discography shows some shifts in approach over time. After 'Happy Hour' and the follow-up 'Quem É Você' in 1999, the 2002 album 'No Mundo' incorporated elements of samba and jazz. They put out 'Santana' in 2019, continuing to record and release material across more than two decades.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
