5 Pra 1 formed in Salvador, Brazil in 2012 as a vocal collective with five members: Bruno Matos, Francinne Barreto, Guilherme Rômulo, Igor Britto, and Pedro Henrique. Their sound mixed pop with rhythm and blues and samba elements, which found an audience fairly quickly.
Their 2014 single "Garotas" became a breakthrough hit that brought them national attention. Other songs like "Vários Lokinho" and "Bombastic" followed, maintaining their presence on Brazilian charts. They released albums including "5 Pra 1" in 2015 and "Do Nosso Jeito" in 2016.
They kept recording through it, putting out "Tá na Hora" in 2018 and "E.P. 4" in 2020. The group's straightforward vocal arrangements and catchy melodies kept them working through the decade.
