5 Quadras came together in São Paulo, Brazil, with Fábio Leão on lead vocals and percussion, Bruno Zambelli handling drums and programming, Pedro Campos on bass, and Andreia Dias providing backing vocals and keyboards. Their sound mixed electronic production with Brazilian rhythms like samba, which gave them a distinct place in the local scene.
In 2014, they released their debut album 'Boa Noite Cinderela,' which included the title track that became their most recognized song. That track drew criticism from some conservative groups in 2015 over its lyrical content, which the band defended as artistic expression about relationships rather than promotion of infidelity.
They followed up with albums in 2016 and 2019, continuing to blend traditional Brazilian elements with electronic beats.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
