50 Lions formed in Los Angeles in 2006 around singer-songwriter Jake Troth and guitarist Dave King, with Matt Chiaravalle on bass and Matt Baker on drums. They spent their early years playing shows around the city, building a local following before releasing their debut album 'Beneath Your Feet' in 2010. The title track from that album, along with songs like 'Break The Silence' and 'Faithless,' helped establish their sound.
After Chiaravalle left in 2013, Chris Trapper joined on bass. The band has released four studio albums, including 'No, Virginia...' in 2013, 'Invisible' in 2017, and 'See Us Through' in 2021. Their catalog includes tracks like 'For The Weak,' 'Lost In A Haze,' and 'Snakes.'
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
