500 Milhas formed in Porto Alegre, Brazil in 1983 with Betina on vocals, Edinho on guitar, Adauto on bass, and Beto on drums.
Their live shows were known for energy, and they played festivals around Brazil.
The band put out several albums including 'O Mundo É um Moinho' in 1986 and 'Fogo e Paixão' in 1990 before ending in 1991. Some early material faced plagiarism accusations, but those claims never seemed to define their work for most listeners.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
