5000Moises formed in Rio de Janeiro around 2007, with Bruno Moreira on vocals, Gabriel Tavares on guitar, Pedro Danilo on bass, and Leandro Oliveira on drums. They played live shows locally for several years before gaining wider attention.
In 2015, their single "Essa Shawty" became popular online, leading to their self-titled debut album. The track's groove and Moreira's vocals connected with listeners, helping establish the group's presence.
They released albums like "Brasa" in 2018 and "Abraçação" in 2021, which incorporated Brazilian funk along with other influences. By 2023, keyboardist Lucas de Paiva had joined the lineup.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
