53 Days formed in Seoul in 2012 with Shin Yong-jae on vocals and guitar, Kim Kwang-hoon on bass, and Kim Jae-hyun on drums. They started playing small shows, and a couple of years later their debut single 'Empty Hands' got some attention. The song's moody feel seemed to connect with people.
Their lineup changed later on, with Lee Jun-young joining on drums. They've put out a few EPs and albums since then, including 'Rise' and 'Paint You'. Songs like 'Fall From Grace' and 'Whole Inside' show they kept writing in that same introspective vein.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
