6 De Nós formed in Rio de Janeiro in 1995, built around the Fonseca family. The band included Fábio Fonseca on vocals, Flávio on guitars, Guilherme on bass, Rodrigo on drums, Viviane on keyboards, and Rodrigo Silveira on percussion. Their debut album came out the following year, introducing what would become their biggest hit, 'A Cada Segundo.'
That first record established their sound, which drew from samba, pop, and MPB. They followed it with albums like 'Vem Pra Cá' in 1998 and 'Nação' in 2000. The group faced a significant challenge when Viviane Fonseca was diagnosed with cancer in 1999, leading to a hiatus before she returned to the band.
Other songs like 'Cade Você' and 'Medo' became part of their catalog. The band worked with artists like Gilberto Gil and Caetano Veloso over time.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
