600ml formed in Rio de Janeiro around 2011 with Luísa Viscardi on vocals, Pedro Curvello on guitar, Pedro Lucas on bass, and Jhon Diniz on drums. Their debut single 'Chance' came out in 2014 and got some radio play in Brazil. The band has put out three albums: 'Chance' in 2014, 'Navegar' in 2018, and 'Praia' in 2022.
Their lineup has shifted over time. Jhon Diniz left in 2017, replaced by drummer Gabriel Marques. Pedro Lucas departed in 2021, with Caio Zanardi taking over on bass. Their sound has moved from indie rock toward more Brazilian popular music influences, with 'Praia' incorporating some samba elements.
Other songs in their catalog include 'Eterna,' 'Melhor Razão,' 'Meus Motivos,' and 'Ninguém Pode nos Parar.' They've addressed social and political topics in their lyrics, which has drawn both supporters and critics. In 2016, there were some plagiarism allegations regarding 'Chance,' though the band denied any wrongdoing.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
