666 XHE formed in Mexico City in the early 1990s, led by vocalist Vaer with guitarist Ulises Arredondo and drummer Pablo "Brujo" Domínguez. They came together after Vaer's earlier project Sangre de Muñeca.
In 1994 they released the album "Rompe tu Corazón," which included the song "Galopada." That track became their most recognizable work, with its haunting melody and driving beat. Other songs from their catalog include "Karzeł," "Nowy," and "Waląc głową w mur."
They put out several more albums through the late 1990s and early 2000s, like "El Esqueleto en el Armario" in 1996 and "Abraxas" in 2001. Their sound incorporated elements of ambient music and electronica alongside the industrial foundation. Some listeners found their lyrical themes unsettling, but the band kept working in their own style.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
