The Finnish rock band 69 formed in Helsinki in 1991, with Jyrki 69 on vocals. Their self-titled debut album came out in 1995 and included the track 'Akeldamah.' They've put out other records like 'Dead Girls and Goodnight Kiss' in 1997 and 'Supermarket' in 1999. The lineup has stayed fairly consistent with Janne 'Burton' Puranen on guitar, Timo 'Timo-Timo' Pitkänen on bass, and Toni 'T.T.' Lönnberg on drums.
Their music draws from hard rock, industrial, and punk. Songs like 'Glad,' 'Had,' and 'Skamenjena Lica' show that range. They released 'Blessed Be' in 2004 and 'Revolution' in 2019. The band took a short break in the early 2000s but has kept playing and recording since.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
