Archive material and source history
7 Cidades formed in Florianópolis in 1996, with Lucas Silveira on vocals and guitar, Ricardo Feltrin on guitar, Verônica Almeida on bass, and Luís Dutra on drums. Their debut album came out in 2005, and its single 'Não Olhe Pra Trás' became a hit across Brazil.
After Almeida left in 2009, Cláudio Maximino joined on bass. The band kept recording through the 2010s, putting out albums like 'A Vida Que Eu Quero' in 2011 and 'Nação' in 2015. They've released seven studio albums in total, including 'A Noite' in 2022.
Their songs often touch on social themes, and they've been vocal about LGBTQIA+ rights. The lineup has stayed fairly steady since Maximino came on, with Silveira, Feltrin, Maximino, and Dutra still playing together.
