7 Drive formed in Belo Horizonte in 2008, with Guto Oliveira on vocals, Cau Netto on bass, Heitor Vallim on guitar, and Igor Lestra on drums. They put out their self-titled debut album in 2011.
Their song 'Eu Consigo Sem Você' became a hit, though it was caught up in plagiarism allegations in 2013. The band denied the claims, and the track stayed popular with fans. They followed up with albums like 'Samba Rock' in 2014 and 'Conquistando o Impossível' in 2017.
They won the Brazilian Multishow Award for Best Rock Band in 2015.
