7 Foot Midget came out of Seattle in 1989 with Brad Sink on vocals, Mike Johnson on guitar, Tim Armstrong on bass, and Josh Powell on drums. They put out their first album 'A Profane Statement' the next year, which gave them songs like the title track and 'I Don't Date Mormons.'

Their music had a rough, confrontational edge that got them noticed and sometimes got them in trouble. They played with the kind of energy that made their shows feel unpredictable, and they kept at it even when people complained about what they were saying.

They didn't last very long as a band, but they left behind a handful of recordings that still turn up. Besides that first album, there was an EP called 'Satan or Santa' in 1991, and later some live and compilation material surfaced.
