7 Horns 7 Eyes formed in San Francisco in the late 2000s, with vocalist Azura at the center of the group. Their name comes from biblical imagery, which gives a sense of the spiritual themes they'd explore in songs like 'Divine Amnesty' and 'The Hill Difficulty.'
Their 2010 debut album was titled 'Divine Amnesty,' and they followed it with records called 'Whispers of the Serpent' and 'The Ritual of Shadows.' The music often dealt with darker subjects, touching on human mortality and the occult while maintaining an experimental edge.
Azura's vocals provided the emotional anchor for the band, supported by guitarists Ethan and Jasper, bassist Lilith, and drummer Orion. They worked with poet Charles Bukowski and filmmaker Kenneth Anger at different points, which added layers to their already unconventional approach.
But they kept making music that felt personal and spiritually searching, never quite fitting into industry expectations.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
