7 Minds formed in Stockholm in 2002, a seven-piece band that included Magnus Thomson, Jon Fagerlund, and Rebecka Karlsson among its members. They released their self-titled debut album in 2006, which featured the single 'Coffee' that got regular play on Swedish radio. Their sound pulled from pop and soul, with some rock and hip-hop in the mix.
They put out a few more albums over the next decade, like 'Lyssna' in 2008 and 'One' in 2011. In 2011, they had a copyright dispute over a sample used in 'Lyssna,' which was settled out of court. They've played shows in Europe and North America, and some of their music has been used in films and commercials.
