7 Muelles formed in 2008 in Cádiz, with José María García on vocals and guitar, Carlos Delgado on guitar and vocals, and Antonio León on drums. Their debut album 'Nuestra España' came out in 2010, and the title track became something of an anthem. They've since released albums like 'Caminos' in 2012, 'El Viaje' in 2014, and 'Luz de la Memoria' in 2018.
Their music draws from Andalusian traditions, mixing flamenco with rock and pop. Songs like 'En El Limite' and 'Soledad' show their range. The band has worked with artists including María Jiménez and José Mercé.
The lineup grew to include Alberto Pérez on bass and Pablo Sánchez on keyboards. Their lyrics often touch on social themes, which has drawn some criticism over time. They keep recording and playing, grounded in that southern Spanish sound.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
