7 Por Meia Dúzia formed in 2012 in Vila do Conde, Portugal. Their song 'Malagueta' became a hit in 2013, and they've released three studio albums since then: 'Podes Fugir Mas Não te Escondes' in 2013, 'O Mundo em Redondo' in 2015, and 'Malagueta' in 2017.
Pedro Gonçalves sings and plays guitar for the band. Bruno Melo handles accordion and backing vocals, João Lopes plays drums, and the rest of the lineup includes Pedro Pinto on bass, Rui Paulo on guitar, João Costa on keyboards, and Gonçalo Mendes on percussion.
They've had some legal trouble along the way, including a dispute with a former producer in 2014 over music rights. But they kept playing shows and putting out records like 'Pano Pra Manga' and 'Samba de Rima Pobre'.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
