Archive material and source history
The band 7 Years formed in Stockholm in 2012 with John Lundvik on vocals, Sebastian Atasiewicz on guitar, Simon Selberg on bass, and Max Grahn on drums. They put out their first EP, "I'll Be Fine," in 2014. A couple years later, their 2016 EP "The Way Down" included a title track that got some attention.
Their debut album "Old Town" came out in 2017. The song "Never One Of You" from that record became their most widely known track. Other songs in their catalog include "Blindfold," "Echo Of Your Words," and "Lies."
In 2019, they faced some criticism for playing a private event hosted by a far-right political party. The band said they hadn't known about the group's ideology when they took the booking and condemned its views.
