77 Bombay Street formed in 2007 with Rohan DeSouza on vocals and guitar, Mihir Joshi on bass, and Dempsey Remedios on drums. Their debut album 'Baromas' came out in 2011, followed by 'The Way Out' in 2013. They've put out several albums since, including 'Seasons' in 2016, 'Bruised But Not Broken' in 2019, and 'Disconnect' in 2022.
Their song 'Amazing Day' appeared in the Bollywood film 'PK' in 2014. Other tracks like 'Bombay,' 'Club of Optimistic People,' and 'Long Way' show up in their catalog. The band has played festivals like WOMEX and worked with artists including Vishal Dadlani.
In 2015, there were some accusations about their song 'Blue,' which they denied. They've also been involved with social causes, supporting organizations focused on children and LGBTQ+ communities.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
