77 Rotações formed in São Paulo in 1997. Their self-titled debut album came out in 1999 and drew criticism from conservative corners for its raw punk-rock energy and direct lyrics. They followed it with '80' in 2000, which moved toward a more experimental sound.
A song called 'Conversa Arquivada' arrived in 2005 and became their breakthrough. It's a track about lost love that connected with listeners. Other songs in their catalog include 'Again,' 'Amor de Cangaceiro,' and 'Chuva e Querosene.'
The band's lineup has included Chico Science on vocals and guitar, Flávio Lemos on bass, and Daniel Simão on drums. They've been known for energetic live shows.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
