7eventh Time Down

7eventh Time Down is an American Christian rock band that started releasing music in the mid-2000s. Their first EP came out in 2005, followed by albums like Alive in You in 2007 and The Symphony of Silence in 2010. They've put out records fairly consistently since then, including Just Say Jesus in 2014 and Closer in 2019.

Some of their better-known songs include Renegade, Bow Dow, and Kingdoms. Their music tends to work with straightforward rock arrangements and lyrics that lean toward faith themes without getting overly complicated about it.

In 2012, the band's lead singer Mike Donehey was seriously injured in a bus accident. The incident became part of their story, though they kept recording and touring afterward. A few years later, their song God Is on the Move drew some attention for what some listeners heard as political references, though the band described it more as a general call for hope.

The group includes Donehey on vocals and guitar, Ben Cissell on guitar, Josh Kivel on bass, and Scott Tremaine on drums. They've released material as recently as 2022 with Victory, maintaining a steady presence in Christian rock circles without much flash or dramatic reinvention.
