7th Symphony was a pop band that formed in the early 1980s with vocalist Danny Hutton, guitarist Dave Smalley, bassist Chris Hillman, and drummer Bob Carpenter. They released their debut album 'Music of the Spheres' in 1983, which mixed pop, rock, and folk elements.
Their 1985 single 'A Letter of Love' became their biggest hit, reaching the top ten in several countries.
After that initial success, the band went through lineup changes and their later albums didn't sell as well. They released several more records including 'The Great Divide' in 1987 and 'Changes' in 1989, and eventually put out a reunion album in 1995.
Other songs in their catalog include 'Repentance,' 'Strong Tower,' 'Grace,' and 'Wonderful World.'
