After their initial success, the band faced internal challenges. Ashton was arrested, and Carter left temporarily, with Thompson departing in 1990. They continued releasing music through the 1990s and 2000s, including albums like "Revolution" in 1988 and "Shadows" in 1992, but never matched the commercial impact of "Control." Ashton disbanded the group in 2006 to pursue a solo career.
