The band 88 formed in 1998 with Micky on vocals, Chris on guitar, and Mike on bass. Their self-titled debut album came out in 2001 and included the track "All 'cause Of You." They had a pop-punk sound that caught on, and they followed up with albums like "Two" in 2003 and "Up Yours" in 2005.

In 2007, Chris was arrested for drug possession and left the band. Pat replaced him on guitar, and the group's music shifted toward more experimental territory. They kept putting out records through the 2000s and 2010s, including "Echoes" and "Second Chance."

Internal tensions never really settled, and 88 announced their breakup in 2016. Their final album was called "The Last Dance."
