9 7 formed in São Paulo in the early 2000s with Matheus Torreão, Rafael Bittencourt, André Abujamra, Roberto Pollo, and Soninha. Their debut album 'Turboradio' came out in 2001, and its single 'A Vida Contigo' became a Brazilian alternative rock staple. Soninha left the band in 2005.
They followed up with albums like 'Que coisa linda!' in 2005 and 'Victória' in 2007, and returned with a self-titled record in 2013. Torreão sings and plays guitar, Bittencourt handles bass and keyboards, Abujamra writes lyrics, and Pollo drums.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
