95C formed in London in the late 1970s with Paul "Legs" Diamond on vocals and guitar, Dave "Thump" Johnson on bass, and Steve "Pistol" Price on drums. Their sound was raw and confrontational from the start, which made it hard to get record labels interested at first.

They followed it with other songs like "Best Friend" and "Love Mean's Nothing."

They put out several albums through the 1980s and into the 1990s, including No Surrender in 1983 and Revolution in 1992. Internal tensions and personal issues mounted over time, and after a failed reunion attempt, the band broke up in 1997.
