98 Degrees formed in Cincinnati in the late 1990s, a vocal quintet that included brothers Nick and Drew Lachey along with Justin Jeffre, Jeff Timmons, and Chris Kirkpatrick. Their self-titled debut album arrived in 1997, and they followed it with '98° & Rising' the next year. Songs like 'Because of You' and 'The Hardest Thing' became radio staples during that period.
They released several more albums through the early 2000s, including 'Revelation' and '2.0', before going on hiatus in 2002. The members pursued different paths afterward, with Nick Lachey finding visibility through reality television. In 2022, the group reunited for a series of live shows.
